KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In honor of National Barbecue Month and Small Business Month, Slap’s BBQ in Kansas City, Kansas will be hosting a free barbecue giveaway this week.

Slap’s BBQ is partnering with Verizon on Wednesday to offer the first 100 customers a free barbecue plate from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and no purchases are necessary.
The Kansas City-based restaurant was founded in 2013 by brothers Mike and Joe Pearce who found their success on the reality TV cooking show ‘BBQ Pitmasters.’
This exposure paved the way for the two brothers who officially opened in June 2014, and ever since, they have quickly gained popularity, often selling out each day due to their commitment to serving fresh barbecue.
