Elmira, N.Y. (WETM) – Showers and isolated storms will be possible tonight with lingering showers tomorrow. We finally dry out for the weekend. More details below:

TONIGHT:

Showers and even an isolated thunderstorm will be possible as we continue into the evening and into the overnight. It will be quite warm with lows in the lower fifties with a breeze from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.

THURSDAY:

Showers will persist into Thursday but won’t be as likely. Skies will remain cloudy all day. Highs on Thursday will reach the upper fifties to near sixty with a breeze from the south at 5 to 10 mph.

FRIDAY:

Showers will again be possible as we round out the work week as a low pressure system moves in. It will be a touch warmer with highs in the lower sixties.

WEEKEND:

Behind the front, we get cooler throughout the weekend. Skies will be mostly cloudy on Saturday with highs in the mid fifties. Conditions will decrease to a mixture of clouds and sun on Sunday to round out the weekend with highs still in the mid fifties.

NEXT WEEK:

Lots of sunshine will be with us to start off the new work week. Skies will be mostly sunny with highs in the lower sixties. Showers return as we continue into the week as a low pressure system moves by to our north. Chances for showers will be with us on Tuesday with highs in the lower to mid sixties. Stray showers persist into Wednesday for midweek. We will be cooler though as a cold front passes our area with highs in the mid fifties on Wednesday.
