Sen. Alex Padilla on Mayorkas impeachment, immigration

(Inside California Politics) — United States Senator Alex Padilla (D-California) joined Inside California Politics co-host Frank Buckley to discuss the Senate’s vote to reject an impeachment trial for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

“Sadly, it was a waste of time, a waste of energy, which should be better focused on actually solving the issues at the border.” Said Sen. Padilla.

Senator Padilla also discussed his stance on comprehensive immigration reform and his belief that more needs to be done to attain that goal.

Lastly, Senator Padilla talks about his push with other elected officials to establish the Chuckwalla National Monument.
