San Angelo State Park hosting solar eclipse viewing

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Time is running out to get your spot at the San Angelo State Park for the solar eclipse happening on April 8.

The best viewing times for the eclipse will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. as San Angelo will be in the 97 percentile for coverage.

These Concho Valley towns will get a partial eclipse on April 8

“Well it’s very exciting because our state park is almost full and we’ll probably have 900 people out there to view the eclipse,” said volunteer Becky Benes.”It will be at 97% so we have people from all over the country and Canada coming to our state park and seeing our town and we love to show off the state park and our bison and longhorn and really to give them a feel of Texas.”
