Russians strike Donetsk Oblast, injuring six miners

Six miners were injured in Russian attacks on Donetsk Oblast on 16 May.

Quote: "Today in the morning the enemy launched an attack on the territory of one of the state coal mining companies in Donetsk Oblast. Six miners were injured."

Details: An administrative building was also damaged in the attack.

"Those injured are receiving the necessary medical treatment. The aftermath of the attack is being assessed," Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy stated.

The Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor’s Office reports that at 10:45 the Russians struck a company in the village of Mykhailivka in the Pokrovsk district. They likely deployed a Smerch multiple-launch rocket system.

Reportedly, five civilians were injured: three women and two men. The explosions damaged an administrative building and a car.
