The Round Rock City Council on Thursday approved an $8.9 million contract to repair roads in three neighborhoods.

The contract with Bennett Paving Inc. will provide repairs to streets in the Dove Creek, Twin Ridge and Greenslopes at Lake Creek neighborhoods.

City officials said repairs will include milling and new asphalt overlay, pavement patching and repairs to curbs, sidewalks and driveways. They said maintenance is expected to begin in May and end in November.

The street maintenance program is intended to preserve and improve the conditions of roads by monitoring their state and repairing or repaving them when needed, officials said.
