Road closures, new traffic patterns in Akron starting Monday, ODOT says

Some new traffic patterns in Akron will go into effect starting Monday morning as part of the city's Interstate 76/77 Beltway reconstruction, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Starting at 5 a.m. Monday and going through 3 p.m. Friday, Lakeshore Boulevard under I-76 will be closed. The southbound detour will be Russell Street to SR 93/Manchester Road to South Street to Lakeshore Boulevard.

Then starting Monday evening and going through Wednesday morning, the ramp from I-77 northbound I-76 westbound will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The detour will be I-76 east to Arlington Street/Kelly Avenue to I-76 west.
