New restaurant opens inside Ford Airport

CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The Gerald R. Ford International Airport has a new restaurant.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has opened inside the airport, it announced Friday. It’s the fifth location in West Michigan, according to its website, and the second Freddy’s spot inside an airport.

Along with its typical menu, travelers will be able to try its breakfast menu — available only at airport and other non-traditional locations — that will offer items like a breakfast steakburger, breakfast bowl and breakfast burrito.

“At Freddy’s, we understand the importance of adaptability and innovation in an ever-evolving landscape. By embracing non-traditional development sites like airports, we’re not only expanding our footprint but also diversifying our reach, working towards Freddy’s overarching goal of connecting with new guests and fostering growth beyond conventional avenues,” Chris Dull, CEO of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, said in a Friday release. “By establishing our presence in these bustling hubs, we are ensuring that Freddy’s remains a beloved destination for all, wherever their travels may take them.”

Freddy’s also has plans to open a spot at the Salt Lake City International Airport by the end of the year.
