Resident at Primrose of Appleton advances to regional spelling bee competition

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – After three months of studying and competing against their peers, one resident has emerged as the Primrose of Appleton Spelling Bee Winner.

Janell Keuler has advanced to the regional competition, where she will compete against winners from other Primrose Retirement Communities in the region.

This competition will be held next week on April 25, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. The winner of this regional competition will advance to the national competition.

At the national competition, a total of eight residents will compete for the national title.

“At Primrose, we are committed to offering purposeful programming that enhances social inclusion and provides opportunities that reflect our residents’ desire to be lifelong learners,” said Steve Gromala, Executive Director. “We are excited that Janell will represent our community at the regional competition. We will be cheering her on as she gets closer to owning the bragging rights for best spell in all of Primrose!”
