WHO releases video of 'destroyed' Al-Shifa hospital

STORY: The team said it saw at least five dead bodies at the complex and filmed the rubble, much of it blackened, that remained of the building.

"You can see the total destruction everywhere. And the most important, there is the smell of sewage and of the rotting bodies around me," said Dr. Ayadil Saparbekov, the team leader for the WHO's Health Emergencies, who also described on camera seeing bodies "rotting under the Gazan sun".

"This is horrible and this is unimaginable. This war should stop now," he added.

Al-Shifa, the Gaza Strip's biggest hospital before the war, was one of the few healthcare facilities that had been partially operational in the north before the raid.
