Get ready, Utah County — The county’s first Cheesecake Factory now has an opening date
OREM, Utah (ABC4) — Calling all cheesecake lovers — Utah County’s first Cheesecake Factory now has an official opening date.
The new restaurant is set to open on Tuesday, July 2, and will be located at University Place in Orem, which will place it roughly halfway between Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University.

The new restaurant in Orem will be the third Cheesecake Factory in the state, and the first location outside of Salt Lake County. The restaurant will be approximately 8,500 square feet, and be located next to the mall’s Itto Sushi and Dillard’s.
The Orem restaurant promises to be open for seven days a week for lunch and dinner, plus brunch on the weekends. According to a press release, the Orem location will offer the full “signature menu” — which features more than 250 selections and more than 30 “legendary” options for cheesecakes.
“The Cheesecake Factory is very pleased to be opening a restaurant at University Place, allowing us to serve Utah County families and visitors,” David Overton, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated said in a January press release.
The Orem location of The Cheesecake Factory will be joining more than 330 other restaurants throughout the United States and Canada, and another 34 international restaurants, according to the release.
The other locations in Utah are also located within shopping centers — located at the City Creek Center in Salt Lake and Fashion Place Mall in Murray. According to a release, The Cheesecake Factory has been in the Salt Lake area since 2007.
Ahead of the July 2 opening, the Orem restaurant is looking to hire about 300 new, “hospitality-minded” employees in a variety of roles.
Some available positions are bartenders, hosts, servers, bartenders, cashiers and more. Those interested in applying can do so online.
