Quiet start to the week before more stormy weather returns

We get a bit of a break from the storms for today. Temperatures climb into the middle to upper 70s with a mostly sunny sky and a relatively light breeze. After this, things get a little big more active again. Warm air and moisture cranks back into northeast Kansas for the middle of the week, and storm chances return.

Tomorrow, we see highs climb into the lower to middle 80s with dew points in the lower to middle 60s. This fuels another chance for thunderstorms Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as another upper level system moves through.

Some of the storms, at times, could become strong or even severe. Tomorrow the greatest concerns will be large hail and damaging wind gusts. It’ll be mostly the same concerns for Wednesday, but with the possibility for an isolated tornado threat added in.

By Friday, our storm chances start to wind down a bit as temperatures drop back into the lower to middle 70s. The weekend looks to be a bit more quiet, which should be nice! We’ll have mostly sunny skies, and temperatures in the middle 70s. Our weather pattern stays relatively active though, so we’ll be monitoring for isolated storms by Sunday again.
