FRIDAY, APRIL 12

7:04 a.m. A caller on the 2800 block of Third Street told La Grande police about a possible missing person. An officer reached out and law enforcement followed up. The subject was located.

8:27 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a puppy found near Denny’s in La Grande. An animal enforcement officer advised and the dog was reunited with its owner.

9 a.m. A caller informed the Union County Sheriff’s Office about possible animal neglect at The La Grande Inn. An animal enforcement officer advised.

9:07 a.m. La Grande police received a call from the 1900 block of N Avenue about a lost and possibly stolen cat. An officer reached out and explained the available options.

9:11 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a front counter report of a missing person from Elgin. Deputies made contact and law enforcement followed up.

9:13 a.m. La Grande police received a call about suspicious circumstances near Commercial Tire. An officer responded and the subject agreed to move along.

11:55 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a runaway from the 400 block of West Fulton Street in Union.

4:07 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1500 block of Division Street in Elgin for a theft and the items were returned.

4:44 p.m. A caller informed the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a trespass at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Union. A deputy responded and added two subjects to the trespass list.

5 p.m. Bree Jasmine Delepierre, 30, was arrested in Washington County on a Union County failure to appear warrant.

5:17 p.m. La Grande police responded to The La Grande Inn and officially trespassed one subject.

5:58 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 300 block of North 17th Street in Elgin for a subject in crisis. Law enforcement gave the individual a courtesy ride to the hospital.

5:59 p.m. La Grande police responded to 26th Street and Mulholland Drive after receiving a request for a welfare check. Officers warned the subject for disorderly conduct.

7:09 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 62200 block of Dove Road, La Grande, for a domestic disturbance. A deputy arrested Tyler James River McClune-Smith, 27, of La Grande, for strangulation, interfering with making a report and harassment.

7:41 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a counterfeit bill at Safeway. An officer responded and retrieved the fake money.

SATURDAY, APRIL 13

1:09 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about two suspicious people on the 2600 block of Bearco Loop. Officers responded and the subjects agreed to move along.

8:45 a.m. A La Grande police officer responded to McDonald’s for a suspicious vehicle and counseled the subjects.

10:50 a.m. La Grande police took a report of a theft on the 1800 block of Z Avenue.

10:51 a.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about possible animal abuse on the 2900 block of Mulholland Drive in La Grande. The information was logged for an animal enforcement officer.

12:15 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 2900 block of Mulholland Drive for a report of a transient camp. The officer counseled the subject, who agreed to move along.

12:35 p.m. A third party told La Grande police about an assault near Pinehurst Apartments. Officers responded but were unable to locate the individual.

12:54 p.m. La Grande police took a report of a weapons violation at Oregon Trail Trader.

1:16 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 1400 block of Y Avenue for a disturbance. The parties were separated and counseled.

2:34 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about possible animal abuse or neglect at Highway 82 and Courtney Lane. The information was logged for an animal enforcement officer.

3:22 p.m. La Grande police received a call about an assault at the Northeast Oregon Housing Authority. An officer reached out and left a message.

4:02 p.m. La Grande police responded to The La Grande Inn and arrested Barbara Rorden, 38, for trespass.

5:14 p.m. Portland Police Department cited Stephanie Ann Stonehouse, 43, on a Union County cite to appear warrant with an original charge of third-degree theft.

5:57 p.m. La Grande police took a traffic complaint at U Avenue and Depot Street. An officer responded and explained the options to all of the parties.

7:13 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about a suspicious woman at Cherry Street and O Avenue. An officer made contact and the woman went home.

SUNDAY, APRIL 14

12:26 a.m. La Grande police responded to the 600 block of Y Avenue and arrested Brandon Lee Peterson, 41, for first-degree criminal mischief.

1:39 a.m. La Grande police responded to the 600 block of Third Street for a report of a family dispute. Officers resolved the situation and trespassed one subject.

1:48 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about a loud party on the 2200 block of Jakob Avenue. An officer responded and the subjects agreed to quiet down.

4:24 a.m. La Grande police responded to the 1400 block of Y Avenue for a disturbance and trespassed one subject.

7:10 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about a suspicious person going through the dumpster at the Foley Building. Officers responded and the subject agreed to leave the area.

11:03 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a deceased rabbit at the Island City Cemetery.

11:10 a.m. La Grande police took a report for a residential burglary on the 600 block of 18th Street.

11:18 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a missing person from the 1300 block of Beverly Terrace in Elgin. The child was found before a deputy was dispatched.

12:32 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 1100 block of Washington Avenue for a disturbance and trespassed one subject.

12:35 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a dog bite in Union.

1:11 p.m. A caller informed La Grande police about a suspicious person near Studio 906. An officer responded and the subject agreed to move along.

1:46 p.m. Candace Louise Sheridan, 27, was arrested in Umatilla County on a Union County probation violation warrant.

2:06 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report for a burglary from a shed on Five Point Creek Road in La Grande.

2:24 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about possible gunshots on the 500 block of Lone Pine Avenue in Imbler. A deputy responded and searched the area but was unable to locate the source of the noise.

2:44 p.m. Oregon State Police responded to Faith Center in Island City for an alarm. The building was secure.

3:19 p.m. Law enforcement received a call about a disturbance on the 10400 block of South Valley Avenue in Island City. A La Grande police officer, Union County sheriff’s deputy and Oregon State Police trooper responded. The situation calmed down and no crimes were committed.

3:33 p.m. La Grande police took a report for a theft on the 1500 block of Y Avenue.

3:54 p.m. La Grande police took a report of a runaway from the 3000 block of Q Avenue.

4:08 p.m. A caller informed the Union County Sheriff's Office about a civil disturbance on the 100 block of South Eighth Avenue in Elgin. A deputy made contact and determined the juvenile would return home tomorrow.

4:17 p.m. La Grande police responded to Super 8 by Wyndham to trespass a subject.

7:03 p.m. La Grande police arrested Sam D. Witty, 54, of La Grande, on a detainer.

10:16 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 100 block of Willow Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. Police determined the situation was only verbal and the parties separated.

MONDAY, APRIL 15

8:57 a.m. La Grande police arrested Eric Ryan Pedro, 41, of La Grande, on two Union County warrants. The first charges five counts of contempt of court, and the second charges second-degree criminal mischief.

9:12 a.m. La Grande police took a report of theft of services at Waste-Pro/Spot on Septic.

10:21 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 62200 block of Duck Road in La Grande for a report of harassment. The deputy arrested Melva C. Rushton, 61, on a Union County failure to appear warrant.

10:59 a.m. A caller from the 100 block of South Eighth Avenue in Elgin informed the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a theft and requested a civil standby. A deputy made contact and explained the available options.

11:29 a.m. During a field interrogation on the 500 block of B Avenue, La Grande police arrested Joshua C. Rauli, 38, for second-degree trespass.

12:21 p.m. La Grande police received a call about harassment at Cook Memorial Library. An officer reached out and took the information.

1:16 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a bike found on the 2000 block of N Avenue. A parking enforcement officer responded and took the property to the bike shed.

1:31 p.m. La Grande police took a report at Tamarack Courts Apartments for an assault.

2:48 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about drug paraphernalia found at The La Grande Inn. An officer responded and took a report.

5:12 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a drug law violation on the 800 block of North Second Street in Union. Law enforcement reached out and took the information.

5:13 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report for the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle from the 71500 block of Highway 204 in Elgin.

7:49 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 2700 block of Island Avenue for a burglary alarm. Officers determined it was a false alarm.
