SWAT teams arrest armed robbery suspect in North Fair Oaks

SAN MATEO COUNTY, Calif. (KRON) — The primary suspect in an armed robbery that took place in Redwood City in recent weeks was taken into custody Thursday, the Redwood City Police Department said.

Following the armed robbery, an investigation determined the suspect to be Jeffrey Tabron Jr., 36, of Milpitas, Redwood City PD said. Detectives learned that Tabron Jr. was staying at a residence on Marlborough Avenue in North Fair Oaks.

On Thursday morning, Redwood City PD’s Special Response Team, along with the San Mateo Police Department and San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office SWAT teams, served a search warrant at the residence.

Tabron Jr. was located and arrested for felony armed robbery and probation violation. Police were seen searching the garage unit of 2753 Marlborough Avenue after the arrest was made.

No one was injured in the arrest, according to authorities. The area surrounding the home was closed to police activity before reopening at 8:36 a.m.
