PPD: Minor shot in overnight shooting

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) is investigating a shooting that happened in the overnight hours of Sunday, March 31 that injured a minor.

According to PPD, on Sunday, a little before 2 a.m. officers were called to a home on the south side of Pueblo about reports of a shooting. Officers learned the shooting happened near the intersection of Lancaster Drive and Hollywood Drive in the Highland Park area.

The victim was revealed to be a boy, who was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle before officers arrived. Police met with the victim at the hospital and confirmed he suffered a gunshot wound. Other officers found the shooting location and expanded their investigation into the area.

PPD said currently no suspects have been identified, and further details are yet to be determined.
