PPD: Man shot to death on Suburban Pkwy

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – A man is dead after an overnight shooting in Portsmouth.

Monday around 2 a.m., police were called to the 900 block of Suburban Parkway for a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found 33-year-old Wayne Morris with fatal gunshot wounds. Morris was pronounced dead at the scene.

Portsmouth Police Department’s Major Crime Unit is investigating the deadly shooting.

Police did not say if they have any suspects.
