Police: Woman dropped off in Downtown St. Louis dies, likely involved in north city crash
ST. LOUIS – A woman is dead after she and another person were dropped off in Downtown St. Louis overnight. Both were believed to be involved in a serious crash in north St. Louis
Investigators say this all started at the intersection of Market Street and Tucker Boulevard, right outside City Hall. This is where police say the two people were dropped off. A truck they were in then left the area.
You can see barricades around City Hall as well as some debris. This is from a totally separate crash that authorities were dealing with when the people were dropped off.

The first crash under investigation was a multi-vehicle collision at North Broadway and Campbell in north city, shortly after 10 p.m. Monday. This is right by the Calvary and Bellefontaine cemeteries.
Authorities tell FOX 2 that one of the vehicles involved in the crash was a truck, which left the scene after the wreck.
Fast forward to Market and Tucker, and police say that two people were dropped off by someone in that truck. Among those two people, there was one adult woman.

Investigators say EMS crews were dealing with a separate crash at this location when they saw two people dropped off and called authorities. We’re told the woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The injuries to the other apparently were not as serious.
As of Tuesday morning, police are trying to track down the truck and the people who were in it. St. Louis police accident reconstruction crews have been called in on the case.
