Person thrown from moving car with “suspicious injuries”

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers responded on Wednesday, April 17, to reports of a female of an unknown age thrown from a moving vehicle.

CSPD said officers responded around 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday to the 200 block of South Academy Boulevard, between Pikes Peak Avenue and Airport Road.

Upon arrival, medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, but were unsuccessful, and the victim succumbed to her injuries. CSPD said “suspicious injuries” were discovered on the victim, and the Colorado Springs Homicide Unit was called to continue the investigation. There is currently no suspect in custody, though CSPD is in the process of developing potential suspect information.
