The closure will be in place until April 26 at 6 p.m. as part of a $28 million project for parking trucks, busses, and vehicles. There will also be a new trial head constructed to connect more than 600 miles of trail within a 25 mile radius of the plaza.

Eastbound motorists are encouraged to stop 25 miles prior to Sideling Hill at the South Midway Service Plaza or continue to the Cumberland Valley Service Plaza 47 miles past Sideline Hill.

All Sideling Hill amenities including fuel, food, and restrooms will be available for westbound travelers.

All construction at Sideling Hill is expected to be completed in May 2025.
