A peek inside new rentals hitting the market in Raleigh’s Brier Creek

A new subdivision has hit the market in Brier Creek, one of Raleigh’s largest master-planned communities.

The main selling points: location, high-end amenities and walkability.

The Keaton at Brier Creek is a 264-unit apartment complex at 3920 Macaw Street. It’s inside the 2,000-acre mixed-use development in Northwest Raleigh.

Sprawled across eight acres, it’s two four-story buildings adjacent to the new Westin Hotel. It’s about a six-minute walk to Brier Creek Commons Shopping Center, and a 10-minute drive to Research Triangle Park and Raleigh-Durham International Airport. A new $70 million pickleball complex is under construction around the corner on Mount Herman Road.

The Keaton is now pre-leasing studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 673 to 1,331 square feet.

“There’s nothing comparable [in terms of access] to retail, entertainment and restaurants,” said Scott Underwood, partner at Woodfield Development.

Future phases are in the planning stages, added Paul Herndon, president at American Asset Corporation, which developed the site in partnership with Woodfield. They will add to the “pedestrian-oriented and urban focus.”

Residents have access to a clubhouse, pool, fitness center, courtyards, dog park and spa, outdoor grilling spaces, game room, rooftop sky lounge and terrace.

Anchored by the Brier Creek Country Club, Brier Creek continues to be one of Raleigh’s most sought-after neighborhoods.

The median sale price of a home in Brier Creek was $451,000 in February, up 31.2% since last year, Redfin found.

On average, homes in Brier Creek now sell after 29 days on the market compared to 57 days last year.
