Pedestrian survives being hit by train in Arthur

ARTHUR, Ill. (WCIA) — A female pedestrian is lucky to be alive after being struck by a train in Arthur on Saturday night.

5-year-old child hit by train in Springfield

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said it happened at 10:10 p.m. The victim’s right leg was hurt in the incident. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where officials expect her to make a full recovery.

The scene was cleared at 1:30 a.m.
