Pedestrian injured after being struck by train in east Fort Worth, police say

A pedestrian was injured early Wednesday after being struck by a train in east Fort Worth, police said.

Officers were dispatched to a location near the intersection of South Collard Street and East Vickery Boulevard around 1:45 a.m. They found a man who had been hit by a train, police said.

The victim’s right arm was injured, and he was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, according to police.

Police are investigating, and an agent for the Union Pacific Railroad also will complete a report on the accident.
