Pedestrian injured while Albuquerque Police Department pursues teen carjacking suspect
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department arrested 17-year-old Dominic Sena on Monday after they say he carjacked a woman. They say Sena pointed a gun at a woman as she backed out of the driveway of a house on San Joaquin Ave. near Central and Wyoming.

The woman told police that an SUV stopped nearby because her car was in the road. Sena was unable to get the woman’s car to start and police say Sena then pointed a gun at a second woman and took off in the SUV.
APD located the vehicle when an officer performed a PIT maneuver near San Mateo and Indian School to get the SUV stopped. APD says that the officer’s vehicle hit the curb, drove onto the sidewalk, and hit a light pole before continuing through a fence on Cochiti Rd.
They say a homeless man behind the fence was hit by possible debris. He was taken to the hospital and is being treated for a fractured jaw and broken ribs. He is expected to make a full recovery.
APD says they found a gun in the SUV. Sena is charged with robbery with a deadly weapon, attempt to commit a 2nd-degree felony, aggravated fleeing, and unlawful carrying of a handgun.
