Around 140,000 cubic yards of sand from the Pass-a-Grille inlet, located between 22nd Avenue and 1st Avenue, will be placed alongside the nearly 10,000 cubic yards of sand from the ongoing Grand Canal Dredging project, located between 9th Avenue and 4th Avenue.

Pass-a-Grille is still awaiting a permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The county said all businesses will remain open during this project, but that some access to the beach and parking will be affected. Beachgoers are advised to be cautious around this area.
