Parts of Geele and Swift, South 11th in Sheboygan closing for road work. Here’s how long the projects will last.

SHEBOYGAN – Several roads will close to allow the Department of Public Works to conduct road construction.

The eastbound traffic lane of Geele Avenue between North Taylor Drive and North 29th Street will close to traffic for concrete pavement repairs May 22. The westbound lane will be open for through traffic.

South 11th Street between Union and Indiana avenues and Swift Avenue between South Eighth Street and South 14th Street are closed to through traffic for storm sewer repairs, concrete sidewalk repairs and new asphalt pavement. Drivers can still access residences and businesses in these areas using cross streets.

The construction could be done in August.

The projects are weather dependent and work on the road is subject to change. City of Sheboygan recommends drivers use caution and slow down in construction zones.
