Palm Beach real estate agents honored for sales in Douglas Elliman's ‘Ellie’ awards

Douglas Elliman Real Estate has presented its latest “Ellie” awards, and several Palm Beach-based agents and teams were among the national and Florida winners, based on their sales performance in 2023. Company real estate professionals elsewhere in Palm Beach County also earned rankings on the awards listings.

The Leavitt McIntosh Team of Palm Beach was named Elliman's No. 1 team in the country in a category recognizing "medium size" teams with the highest “gross commissionable income.” The team is headed by agents Chris Leavitt and Ashley McIntosh and includes Joey Columbo.

In the separate Florida rankings, the Leavitt McIntosh Team took two No. 1 awards, earning the top spot for teams for gross commissionable sales and for total sales volume.

Two Palm Beach-based agents were ranked nationally for their gross commissionable sales, with Gary Pohrer earning the No. 5 spot while Samantha Curry ranked No. 8. Other county agents on the same list were Maria Mendelsohn, who ranked No. 3, Martha Jolicoeur (No. 10), Matthias Fretz (No. 16) and Bonnie Heatzig (No. 21).

Agents based in Palm Beach also ranked on the national list for sales volume. Pohrer was ranked No. 3, followed by Alison Newton (No. 10) and Curry (No. 12). Agents in other parts of the county on the same list were Mendelsohn (No. 4), Heatzig (No. 8), Fetz (No. 19), Donna Hutchins (No. 20), Jolicoeur (No. 21) and John Wilson (No. 23).

Douglas Elliman has more than 6,900 agents in 11 states and Washington, D.C., according to its website.

The company announced the national honorees March 14, simultaneously releasing its Florida lists. In a statement accompanying the announcement, Douglas Elliman President and CEO Scott Durkin said his agents had the ability to “draw on their resourcefulness to thrive in any market.”

Pohrer and Curry ranked No. 3 and No. 5, respectively, among Elliman’s Florida agents recognized in the individual gross commissionable-income category. Agents based in other parts of the county who earned a spot in the state rankings for individual gross commissionable income were Mendelsohn, ranked No. 2, Joliceur (No. 6) and Fretz (No. 9).

In the individual sales-volume rankings for the Sunshine State, Pohrer ranked No. 2, with Newton and Hatzig tying for the No. 5 spot and Curry earning the No. 6 position. The county agents honored in the same category included Mendelsohn, ranked No. 3, Fretz (No. 10).

Several Palm Beach-based agents and The Leavitt McIntosh Team were honored for taking part in the “Top Sales of the Year over $25 Million.” The local agents recognized in that category were Pohrer, Thor Brown and Stephen Ploof. Mendelsohn also qualified for the honor.

Agent Jack Rooney, who is based in Palm Beach, earned Florida’s “Rookie of the Year” award.

The Leavitt McIntosh Team and Newton were honored with awards for new development.

The Senada Adzem Team of Boca Raton also ranked No. 6 among all U.S teams, based on its gross commissionable income.

In the Florida team rankings for gross commissionable income, the Senada Adzem Team ranked No. 4 and The Randy & Nick Team of Delray Beach ranked No. 7. The latter team was led by Randy Ely and Nick Malinosky. Those two teams also were honored among teams throughout Florida for their sales volume, with the Senada Adzem Team ranked No. 2 and The Randy & Nick Team ranked No. 7.

Agents and teams also were recognized for their rental contracts last year. The top 10 teams for Florida rentals based on gross commissionable sales volume included two Palm Beach-based teams — The Leavitt McIntosh Team was ranked No. 4 and The Scott Gordon Team — comprising Scott and Mindy Gordon, along with Brooke Snader — earned the No. 9 spot. On the top 10 Florida list for rentals by individual agents in Palm Beach were Curry (No. 7) and Palm Beach-based agents Cara Coniglio McClure (No. 8) and Burt Minkoff (No. 10). Elsewhere in the county, Mendelsohn ranked No. 2 and and Jolicoeur No. 4.

The Palm Beach-based Cronican Group — led by Lori Cronican and Christopher Cronican — was ranked No. 9 among Florida teams honored for the number of rentals they closed. Mendelsohn was ranked No. 2 in the same category for individual agents.

Other Elliman agents and teams with Palm Beach ties earned Pinnacle Club awards, which were presented to agents and teams who made over $1 million last year. They included The Bretzlaff Group of Palm Beach and Jupiter, which is led by Palm Beach-based agent Heather Bretzlaff and agent Craig A. Bretzlaff, along with agents Susan Hasner and Scott Handler; Brown; The Cronican Group; Curry; Daniel Ekerold; The Scott Gordon Team; The Leavitt McIntosh Team; Newton; and Pohrer.

Pinnacle Award winners from other parts of the county included The Senada Adzem Team, The Bloom Haym Group, Ann Cusa, Fretz, Heatzig, Hutchins, Jolicoeur, Rochelle LeCavalier, Mendelsohn, Dustin Nero, Kim Spears and The Randy & Nick Team.
