Suspect on the run after shooting near downtown Dothan
DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Dothan Police are on the scene of a shooting near downtown Dothan.
Shortly after 8:45 a.m., Dothan Police rushed to the 1700 block of South Saint Andrews Street after receiving a shots-fired call and found a man with a gunshot to one of his legs.
Lt. Scott Owens says the shooting occurred in the backyard of a home, and it is believed the suspect and victim knew each other.
The unidentified suspect is still at large; however, Lt. Owens says there is no threat to the community.
The 1700 block of South Saint Andrews Street, between Hill Street and Connelly Street, is closed to traffic while police process the scene.
