One person seriously injured following semi crash in Wisconsin

POPLAR, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Wisconsin say one person was taken to the hospital late Friday night with serious injuries following a semi crash in northwest Wisconsin.

Wisconsin man arrested for OWI twice in same night, roughly 5 hours apart

According to a release from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at around 10:30 p.m. to reports of a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on Highway 2 in Poplar.

Officials say only one man was injured in the crash and he was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Poplar Fire, Maple Fire, Amnicon Fire, Parkland Fire, Hawthorne Fire, Mayo Ambulance, Douglas County Highway Dept, Dukes Towing, and Lake City Towing.

Crews were reportedly on the scene until roughly 2:00 a.m. and no other information is available at this time.
