Man killed, woman injured in Fruitridge collision
(FOX40.COM) — A fatal collision along Fruitridge Road between Laurine Way and Lawrence Drive has forced a closure of the roadway, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
At around 4 a.m. on Tuesday, a pickup truck collided with a man and a woman who were either walking along Fruitridge Road or attempting to cross the roadway.

The man was in the wheelchair while the woman was pushing the wheelchair.
The man was declared dead by first responders and the woman was taken to UC Davis Medical Center with significant injuries.
The driver did remain at the scene and has been working with law enforcement. There is currently no suspicion that the driver was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
