One hospitalized following shooting at Diamond Lakes Park in Augusta
One person is in the hospital after a shooting Monday at Diamond Lakes Park in Augusta.
Just before 2:30 p.m., the Richmond County Sheriff's Office responded to Diamond Lakes Park for shots fired with one person down, according to a news release.
When deputies arrived, they found a person who was shot at least once, according to the release. They were taken to the hospital for injuries that are not life-threatening.
"The investigation is in its early stages and there is no additional information available at this time," according to the sheriff's office.
