When officers arrived, they found two victims. One man died at the scene and another victim was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

“Right now, suspect information is very limited,” said Sgt. Rob Robertson with OKCPD. “Hopefully, here in the days to come we’ll know a little bit more about what happened.”

Police said a fight at the Will Rogers Courts low-income housing complex led to the shooting.

KFOR was there when a man took off running from the porch of the apartment where the shooting took place while officers attempted to handcuff him. Five officers chased after the man before finally catching him, pinning him to the ground, and handcuffing him. He was one of three people KFOR witnessed handcuffed and placed into patrol units. However, OKCPD has yet to confirm any arrests.

Buster Neice said this kind of crime has been something he has gotten used to seeing in his neighborhood. He said he has lived close by for 28 years but after this latest shooting he has had enough.

“I have two kids and I want to pack up and move out and find somewhere else to go,” said Neice. “This stuff is getting worse.”
