One arrested, one wanted in Martinsville Tequila Sports Bar and Grill shooting

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — Martinsville Police says one man has been arrested and another is on the run in the investigation connected to the shooting that occurred outside Tequila’s Sports Bar and Grill on May 18.

On Saturday, officers were dispatched to Tequlia’s Sports Bar and Grill at 11:45 p.m. after reports of gunfire in the restaurant’s parking lot. Police say the 20-year-old victim was taken to SOVAH Health Martinsville with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg.

During their investigation, video footage led to arrest warrants being issued for two individuals. Officers identified and arrested 24-year-old Rosario Nasiar Eggleston. Eggleston was charged with the following:

  • Malicious Wounding

  • Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony

  • Willfully Discharge in a Public Place

  • Possession of a Firearm by a Violent Convicted Felon

  • Possession of Ammunition by a Violent Convicted Felon

  • Three Counts of Destruction of Property

Police say the second individual, identified as 24-year-old Jalen Davon Pritchett, has yet to be arrested and is currently still on the run. Pritchett is wanted for the following:

  • Malicious Wounding

  • Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony

  • Willfully Discharge in a Public Place

  • Possession of a Firearm after an Assault and Battery of a Family Member

  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon (Second Offense)

  • Possession of a Firearm under a Protective Order

  • Three Counts of Destruction of Property
