Officer Tommy Norman brings his All-Stars for VIP tour of Arkansas Capitol

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – North Little Rock Police Officer Tommy Norman and his All-Star group got the VIP grand tour of the State Capitol Friday.

Officer Norman’s All-Star group consists of friends he has made while on patrol. Many of them have special needs and have lived in their homes or on their front porches their entire life.

On Friday, though, they ventured out and got a first-hand look at democracy at work.

While these All-Stars learned a lot from the experience, Norman believes they also have their own lessons to teach others.

“For them to be here today, it’s something that will be etched in their minds forever,” he said. “Yes, they deal with mental disabilities, but those are the people that we should gravitate to.”

Norman thanked retired Sen. Eddie Joe Williams for helping organize Friday’s event, which he says helped boost everyone’s self-confidence.
