Officer shoots, kills 2 dogs in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officer shot and killed two dogs on Thursday.

Officers responded to the 3600 block of 11th St. NW in Petworth for a stabbing just after 1:30 p.m.

When they arrived, the officers saw the two dogs off of their leashes. Both of them charged at the officers.

17-year-old boy shot, killed in Southeast DC

One of the officers opened fire, hitting the dogs. They both died there.
