NWS: Two EF-1 tornados touched down in central Wisconsin during severe weather outbreak
*Editor’s Note* – This story has been updated after a second tornado was confirmed to have touched down in Unity, Wisconsin.
EDGAR, Wis. (WFRV) – Tuesday night’s particularly dangerous weather produced several severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado warnings in northeast Wisconsin, and the National Weather Service in Green Bay has confirmed now that two tornados touched down on Tuesday.
According to officials, an EF-1 tornado touched down northwest of the village of Edgar in Marathon County shortly before 8:00 p.m. Damage survey is being conducted, and preliminary findings include damage to farm buildings, silos, and trees along the path of the EF-1 tornado.

Kaukauna seeing lots of damage after severe storms rip through Wisconsin
National Weather Service experts believe the EF-1 tornado near Edgar produced max wind speeds of 90 miles per hour.
Later on Wednesday, the National Weather Service in Green Bay confirmed a second tornado that impacted the Village of Unity, located in western Marathon County.
Officials say that tornado, classified as an EF1 reached wind speeds of 105 mph.
Crews are continuing to survey damage throughout the other portions of the state that received heavy storms. In total, Tuesday night’s weather produced nine tornado warnings and 11 severe thunderstorm warnings in northeast Wisconsin.
