Northbound SR-125 to close in Spring Valley starting Friday
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Drivers in East County will need to find alternative routes for their weekend commute. All lanes of northbound State Route 125 at Jamacha Road will be closed for the weekend, according to Caltrans.
The closure will be in place starting at 8:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday so crews can work on concrete slab replacement.
Full closure of southbound SR-163 from I-8 to I-5 Saturday
All drivers wanting to travel north on SR-125 will be diverted to the Jamacha Road off-ramp and be able to reenter the freeway using the on-ramp, Caltrans says.
They can exit at Jamacha Boulevard and Sweetwater Road, continue to Broadway and drive east to the SR-125 north on-ramp.

People can find real-time traffic information regarding lane and road closures by using Caltrans’ online map.
To avoid the closure and any resulting traffic delays, Caltrans advises drivers to consider alternative routes like taking northbound Interstate 805 to eastbound SR-94.
Caltrans says the road work schedule could change due to weather, traffic incidents and other factors.
