No, Padma Lakshmi will not be getting married to Adam Dell, and that is fine
Padma Lakshmi stopped by Wendy: The Wendy Williams Show today and was questioned about the state of her love life. The 47-year-old is currently dating her ex-boyfriend and the father of her only child, Adam Dell.
Previously, the couple went through a nasty custody battle over their daughter, Krishna, but it seems as though the dust has settled and the two are happier than ever.
When asked by Wendy Williams if she would ever marry Dell, Lakshmi said, “It has nothing to do with him, but more to do with me. I don’t feel I need to be married; I think my life is great.” Lakshmi, who was previously married to author Salman Rushdie for three years, continued, “I don’t need a certificate to prove anything. We have a child together; that is way more of a commitment than any piece of paper.”
Lakshmi said it perfectly — that no document will ever show how much you care for another, and at the end of the day, it’s your relationship and the love you share with that other person that matters.
