Nine arrested in multi-agency mission that recovered seven stolen cars

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Nine people were arrested, and seven stolen vehicles were recovered in the Portland area during a multi-agency mission on April 22 involving the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, the Portland Police Bureau and the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Deputy John Plock told KOIN 6 News that the agencies teamed up to find and recover stolen vehicles from 2 p.m. to midnight. During the mission, 22-year-old Alan Barron allegedly tried to elude law enforcement in a stolen vehicle. Authorities ultimately brought Barron into custody and found him in possession of a loaded handgun, the MCSO said.

“Deputies were able to stop the car, arrest the driver and recover a loaded gun with the serial number ground out,” the MCSO stated on social media.
