Myrtle Beach Pelicans roll out 25th anniversary logo

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — The Myrtle Beach Pelicans will have a new look as they open the 2024 season next month, with club officials on Wednesday unveiling a fresh logo to mark a quarter century of play on the Grand Strand.

New elements include four stars to mark the team’s four Carolina League championships, a silver tone used to traditionally mark 25th anniversaries and an updated take on the iconic bird itself.

The logo will be featured in various uses this season, including an April 6 commemorative ticket giveaway and merchandise for sale in the team shop.

Since its inception, the Pelicans have taken home six South Division titles and sent 214 players to the major leagues.

The Pelicans will kick off the 2024 season at home against the Fayetteville Woodpeckers on April 5.
