Muscle Shoals man charged with attempted murder after stabbing during family dispute

COLBERT COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A Muscle Shoals man is facing an attempted murder charge after police say he stabbed his brother during a family dispute Sunday night.

According to the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office, Christopher Dawson, 25, was booked into the Colbert County Jail after the fight.

The incident took place around 8 p.m. on Hidden Hollow Road north of Leighton, Sheriff Eric Balentine confirmed to News 19.

Balentine said the victim, Dawson’s brother, was flown to Huntsville Hospital with serious injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Dawson is being held without bond.
