Murfreesboro police looking for gas station robber armed with rifle

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Murfreesboro Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a man who reportedly robbed a gas station over the weekend with an AR-15-style rifle.

Officials said the armed robbery happened around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, April 19, at the 7-Eleven gas station on Veterans Parkway.

Employees told police a young man wearing a red hoodie, blue mask and black pants walked into the store and pointed a white AR-15-style rife at them while demanding money.

In surveillance video from the gas station, the man can also be seen walking over to a customer and pointing the gun at them before heading back to the counter.

Authorities said the suspect got away with an “undetermined amount of cash.”

Officers set up a perimeter and tried to track the robber with help from a Middle Tennessee State University Police K-9 but were unsuccessful.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or who has additional information regarding the alleged robbery to call Detective Doug Arrington at 629-201-5522.
