Motorcyclist killed in Chesterfield County collision, SUV driver charged: SCHP

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision last week and the driver of the other vehicle is now facing charges, South Carolina State Highway Patrol announced Tuesday.

Troopers responded to calls regarding the incident last Tuesday on SC Highway 151 near Old Creek Road near McBee. A motorcyclist was found on the scene suffering from injuries and was later pronounced dead. Two occupants in another vehicle were transported from the scene by a family member to an area medical center with injuries, troopers said.

A rebate check could be on the way for South Carolina residents. Where is the $1.8B coming from?

An initial investigation revealed the deceased was on a Kawasaki motorcycle when the other vehicle, a Toyota SUV, attempted to turn and struck the motorcycle.

The driver of the SUV has been charged with failure to yield the right of way.
