Motorcyclist hospitalized, man arrested on DUI charges after south Las Vegas valley crash

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man was hospitalized after a Sunday morning suspected DUI crash in the south Las Vegas valley.

On Sunday around 10:50 a.m., Las Vegas police responded to a report of a crash in the area of South Eastern Avenue south of East Wigwam Avenue.

Evidence at the scene and witness statements showed that a 2020 Toyota Sienna was exiting a private drive onto Eastern Avenue when it failed to yield to the right of way and crashed into a motorcycle, according to police.

The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition, police said.

The driver of the Toyota, identified as 72-year-old David Degood, showed signs of impairment and was arrested on DUI-related charges, according to police.
