Motorcyclist dead after crash in Visalia

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A motorcyclist has been pronounced dead after hitting a vehicle in Visalia, the Visalia Police Department said.

Officers say at 5:32 p.m. this evening they responded to Demaree Street and Coppola Avenue regarding a traffic collision.

Upon arrival, investigators say they learned a vehicle traveling southbound was making an eastbound turn onto Coppola Avenue from Demaree Street when it was struck by a motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, according to police, was immediately transported to a local hospital, but despite medical efforts, he was later pronounced deceased.

Detectives say alcohol and or drugs are not believed to be a factor in this collision.
