Mobile Police arrest Florida man in connection with robbery

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Florida man was arrested Thursday in connection with a robbery that occurred Wednesday, according to the Mobile Police Department.

38-year-old Justin Pompey, of Panama City, was arrested and taken to Mobile Metro Jail Thursday, according to an MPD news release.

The release said officers were called to the 5400 block of West Highway 90 for a report of a robbery.

INCIDENT LOCATION:

When officers arrived, they found that a man, now identified as Pompey, allegedly approached the victim armed with a knife and demanded money.

Pompey allegedly assaulted the victim during the robbery and then left before police got there.

The victim was taken to the hospital for their injuries.

Pompey faces a charge of first-degree robbery, according to the Mobile County Metro Jail log.
