Mifflinburg schools dismissing early due to flooding; Union County dealing with flooding

Apr. 3—Streets are closed in Lewisburg Borough due to flooding and Mifflinburg Area School District is dismissing students early today.

Mifflinburg Area School District will dismiss classes at noon for high and middle schools while elementary and intermediate schools will dismiss at 1 p.m.

If any buses are unable to reach student homes, those students will be brought back to the school and parents will be contacted to make arrangement to pick up their child, according to the district.

All extracurricular activities are canceled, according to the district.

Lewisburg Borough experienced flooding of Limestone/Bull Run from heavy rains and closed North Fifteenth Street between St. Mary Street and Terrace Drive, according to the borough.

Borough officials anticipate other street closures if the rain continues.
