Maryland collegians sympathize for war protesters

College students in Maryland have sympathy for others protesting the Israel-Hamas war. People in support of Palestine are protesting on college campuses across the U.S. as the war continues in Gaza. They're calling on universities to disclose any investments and divest from any companies connected to Israel. A sit-in started Monday at the University of Maryland, College Park, spanning three days. Video shared with 11 News by University of Maryland journalism student Jona Jancewicz showed a march across campus. In Baltimore on Friday afternoon, the largest gathering on Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus was for the "Spring Fling" social event, though 11 News found students keeping tabs on protests taking place elsewhere.
