The 2024 Caddo Parish primary elections saw a turnout of over 44,000 registered voters, as stated by the Louisiana Secretary of State's Office.

Caddo Parish witnessed a total of 44,190 registered voters exercising their right to vote in the primary elections that featured races for sheriff and parish commissioner.

Early voting totals reached 25,297, broken down into 7,922 absentee ballots and 17,375 in-person votes.

Statistics show a persistent divide between Democratic and Republican voters in terms of turnout, with 32,826 registered Democrats voting against 22,408 Republicans in this electoral season. This trend has observed in prior elections as well.

Participation among Black voters increased in this recent election cycle, with numbers increasing from 19,575 in the Nov. 18, 2023 elections to 30,967. Data shows that more Black voters cast their ballots ahead of time than they did before.

In Caddo Parish, female voter turnout continues to exceed that of their male counterparts. Statistics show 25,715 eligible female voters versus 18,472 eligible male voters participated in the election.
