Man wanted for First-Degree Murder in Florida arrested in Mercer County

BLUEFIELD, WV (WVNS) — A man wanted in Florida for First-Degree Murder was arrested in Bluefield, West Virginia.

According to a press release from the West Virginia State Police, Detectives from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in Florida informed Corporal K. A. Filer about information regarding Brian Estep on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

Estep was wanted in Florida for the First-Degree Murder of Amber Estep in Brevard County, Florida on January 16, 2024.

Woman arrested after stabbing in McDowell County

Detectives gave Corporal Filer details that resulted in a search warrant being obtained for a house on Grandview Street in Bluefield, West Virginia.

33-year-old Brain Estep was arrested on Thursday, March 28, 2024, and was charged as a fugitive from justice for the First-Degree Murder charge.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) helped with the search, and eight items that could be used as evidence were seized from the house and given to Brevard County Detectives.
