Man survives shot to the chest in Decatur shooting
DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — Decatur Police are investigating a Saturday shooting that one man was lucky to survive.
It happened at 7:34 a.m. near North Illinois and East William Streets. Patrol officers responded to the scene in reference to a gunshot victim. It was there that they found a 49-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his chest, as well as injuries on his face and arm.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where police say he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
